Neuromodulators (wrinkle relaxing injections) like Botox® and Dysport®
Wrinkle relaxing injections are botulinum toxin A purified protein derivatives that are injected very superficially into the muscle or dermis (just under the skin) to temporarily relax muscles. This reduces and often eliminates overlying dynamic skin wrinkles and fine lines which result in a more relaxed, happy and well rested appearance. No downtime required. Results last 3 – 6 months, however, over time the treated muscles “learn” not to make the facial expression that caused the wrinkle, resulting in longer lasting effect.
Popular treatment areas for our patients include:
Horizontal wrinkles of the forehead,
“Elevens” (frown lines between the eyes)
“Crows feet” lines radiating out from the eyes
Upper and lower lip lines (“smoker’s lines”)
“Jelly roll” wrinkle under the eye
To perform an eyebrow lift
“Bunny lines” of the nose
To correct a gummy smile
“Lip flip” to enhance vertical height of top lip
DAO relaxation to help reduce the appearance of jowls
Chin dimple (mentalis) treatment
Lower face/jaw line thinning
Trapezius /shoulder slimming injections
Platysmal neck band injections
“Nefertiti neck lift”

Neuromodulators like Botox® and Dysport®
Neuromodulators are strategically injected by our MD injector to reduce hyperactivation of the nerve pathways commonly involved in chronic migraines and headaches. Neuromodulators very effectively prevent headaches in chronic headache sufferers who have not had much relief from traditional migraine medications, are taking migraine medication too often (which may be dangerous) or who have intolerable side effects to these traditional medications. Many third party insurance companies cover the cost of neuromodulators for migraine prevention. No downtime is required.

Neuromodulators like Botox® and Dysport®
Neuromodulators are incredibly effective at reducing and often eliminating underarm sweating such that patients can often stop wearing deodorants and antiperspirants altogether. They work by helping to locally block the release of a chemical responsible for our sweating response in our underarms. Effects typically last 6-12 months. No downtime required.
Neuromodulators have been safely and very successfully used for over 20 years. Our certified and experienced MD and Nurse Injectors will go over everything with you in your initial consult including potential side effects and risks to determine if you are a good candidate for the injections. Many third party insurance companies cover the cost of neuromodulators for hyperhidrosis treatments.

Neuromodulators like Botox® and Dysport®
Neuromodulators are injected into the masseter muscles (our strongest jaw muscles) to cause temporary relaxation, which eases the pain associated with TMJ disorder and reduces uncomfortable nighttime grinding of teeth. From a cosmetic perspective, this will also work to slim the muscle, creating a more narrow lower face and sleeker jaw appearance. No downtime required.

Blepharospasm is a neurological condition that results in the involuntary and often forceful contraction of the muscles responsible for eyelid movement. Individuals with blepharospasm may experience rapid blinking or eyelid twitching that they cannot control. This condition can range from mild annoyance to severe, frequent spasms that can interfere with vision.
The exact cause of blepharospasm is not fully understood, but it is believed to involve a malfunction within the basal ganglia, the area of the brain responsible for controlling muscle movements. Stress, fatigue, and exposure to bright lights can exacerbate symptoms.
Treatment with Neuromodulators: Neuromodulators, such as Botulinum toxin (commonly known by brand names like Botox® or Dysport®), have become the treatment of choice for blepharospasm. These agents work by temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for signaling muscles to contract.
When injected in small, targeted doses into the muscles around the eyes, neuromodulators cause a temporary relaxation of those muscles. This reduction in muscle activity can alleviate the spasms associated with blepharospasm. The effects typically take from a few days up to two weeks for the relaxation to occur and to see optimal results.
Procedure and Effects: The procedure is minimally invasive. Our providers use a fine needle and inject the neuromodulator into specific areas around the eyelids. The number of injections required can vary based on the severity of the condition and the individual's response to treatment.
Patients typically notice a significant reduction in involuntary blinking and spasming following the procedure. This relief from symptoms can last anywhere from three to four months, after which the treatment can be repeated. Most individuals tolerate these injections well, with side effects being generally mild and temporary, including potential bruising or swelling at the injection site.
Why Choose Neuromodulators for Blepharospasm: Neuromodulators offer several advantages for those suffering from blepharospasm:
1. Non-Surgical: It provides a non-surgical solution to a problem that can significantly impact the quality of life.
2. Targeted Relief: The treatment is localized, affecting only the muscles into which the neuromodulator is injected, minimizing systemic side effects.
3. Quick Procedure: The injections are quick (often taking only a few minutes), and there is no downtime, allowing patients to return to their daily activities immediately.
4. Proven Effectiveness: Numerous studies and patient experiences have shown that neuromodulators are effective in managing blepharospasm.
5. Reversible and Repeatable: The effects are temporary, which means that adjustments can be made in subsequent sessions to achieve the best results.
Neuromodulators represent a revolutionary step in managing blepharospasm, offering those affected a chance for relief and a better quality of life!

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to enhance and rejuvenate the skin's appearance. These injectable products are composed of safe, biocompatible substances that are carefully injected into specific areas of the face to help establish symmetry , proportions and hydration of the skin and restore a more youthful, refreshed look.
1. **Restoring Volume:** Dermal fillers are used to restore lost volume in the face caused by aging, weight loss, or other factors. They effectively plump up sagging or hollow areas, creating a fuller and smoother facial contour.
2. **Smoothing Wrinkles and Fine Lines:** Dermal fillers are excellent for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, especially in areas such as the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and lines around the mouth. They fill in creases, resulting in a more youthful and smoother complexion.
3. **Enhancing Facial Features:** Dermal fillers can be strategically injected to enhance specific facial features, such as the lips, cheeks, and jawline. This allows for improved facial symmetry, contouring, a more sculpted appearance and a more balanced overall look and profile.
4. **Non-Surgical Face Lift:** Dermal fillers are a popular choice for achieving a non-surgical facelift effect. By strategically injecting the filler to lift and tighten the skin, they can significantly improve sagging or drooping areas, providing a rejuvenated and more youthful appearance without the need for surgery.
5. ** Chin and Jawline Enhancement:** The apex or tip of the chin can be enhanced with dermal fillers to improve facial harmony and balance. Fillers can help to shape the chin and jawline area to improve overall definition, creating a more aesthetically pleasing profile.
6. . **Natural-Looking Results:** Skilled practitioners use dermal fillers to achieve natural-looking results that harmonize with a person's unique facial features. The goal is to enhance beauty while maintaining an authentic and non-artificial appearance.
7. **Non-Invasive and Quick:** Dermal filler treatments are minimally invasive, requiring no surgery or extensive downtime. The injections are usually quick and minimally painful, making them a convenient option for those with busy schedules.
By skillfully administering dermal fillers to these areas, Lakefield Cosmetics’ skilled MD and Nurse Providers can determine the most appropriate dermal filler treatment plan tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals, ultimately boosting confidence and improving overall facial harmony.

A different concept from dermal fillers.
Improving Skin Texture: By providing hydration and supporting the skin's structure, hyaluronic acid skin boosters are dermal fillers that are injected more superficially to help improve skin texture and tone. They promote a radiant, supple complexion by enhancing the skin's moisture levels.
Skinbooster injectables represent an investment in your skin's health and a journey to unveil a glowing, rejuvenated complexion.
Restylane SKINBOOSTERS™ stand at the forefront of skincare, crafted to elevate skin quality, these injectables significantly amplify hydration levels at a profound level, ensuring a long-lasting and transformative effect. The results are beautifully evident through improved smoothness, elasticity, and firmness on the skin's surface, culminating in a rejuvenated and invigorated appearance.
Centered around the exceptional properties of hyaluronic acid (HA), a vital component naturally found in the skin, SKINBOOSTERS effectively restore moisture and hydration. As we age, the levels of HA decline, making replenishing this essential substance crucial for maintaining skin vitality and suppleness. Administered through a precise series of small injections into the skin, this treatment strategically targets and enhances your skin's luminosity.

How it works:
PRP is a solution made from your own blood! A small amount of your own blood is drawn up. It’s then placed in a machine called a centrifuge which spins it down to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood. The resulting solution is rich in growth factors that are found within your own body (althought containing more than 100x the growth factors)! These growth factors (which stimulate production of collagen and elastin), are extra concentrated due to the material in the specialized tubes that we use for this procedure. Lakefield Cosmetics then uses a special microneedling device called the U225 mesotherapy compression gun to re-inject the PRP solution back into the skin while creating micro-injury at the same time ( to stimulate controlled healing/recovery and further production of collagen and elastin). This method is minimally painful – with no freezing required! The result (after 3 treatments separated by 1 month) is smoother, more glowing and healthy looking skin. Patients really love this procedure because it is considered more of a natural method of anti-aging, and is extremely low risk because it utilizes your own blood products (ie this eliminates risk of an allergic reaction). We recommend not making any plans for the remainder of the day after you receive your treatment, however you should be fine to resume most activities the morning after.

Sculptra is a type of cosmetic injectable “biostimulator”, meaning it acts to stimulate your own collagen production in order to replenish lost volume, improve skin quality/elasticity and provide a lift (reduce sagginess) and improve the overall appearance of the face.
It is a PLLA injectable (Poly-L lactic acid). It provides natural results with improvement in appearance happening gradually over a series of 2-3 treatments and lasting 2 years. It has been well studied and on the market for decades and tweaked to now allow for mixing with lidocaine to make the procedure less uncomfortable. It is injected similarly to how dermal filler is injected with the goal being:
1. Volume restoration:
it works to restore lost volume caused by aging or other factors. This can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, folds, and hollow areas.
2. Collagen stimulation:
One of the unique aspects of Sculptra is its ability to stimulate collagen production in the skin. Collagen is a protein that provides structure and support to our skin. By promoting collagen production, Sculptra helps improve the skin's elasticity and firmness over time.
3. Gradual results:
Unlike other dermal fillers, the results of Sculptra are not immediate. Instead, Sculptra works gradually, with the full effects becoming noticeable over a few months. This allows for a natural-looking transformation that develops over time.
4. Long-lasting outcomes:
The benefits of Sculptra can last for a significant period, typically up to two years or more, an ideal solution for those seeking a sustainable solution for facial volume restoration.
