Winter Skin Woes

Winter can be tough on our skin—dry patches, dullness, and uneven texture seem to show up out of nowhere. But this season is actually the best time to focus on treatments that hydrate, heal, and refresh your skin.

At Lakefield Cosmetics, we’ve been seeing great results with two treatments that work especially well in winter:

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels gently remove dull, damaged skin while boosting hydration and improving texture. We use SkinCeuticals peels, which can be customized to your needs—whether that’s brightening, smoothing fine lines, or fading scars and pigmentation.

Why winter? Your skin has time to heal and rejuvenate without worrying about strong summer sun exposure. Pairing your peel with a nourishing moisturizer can help lock in hydration and maximize results.

Microneedling

Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to produce more collagen—perfect for smoothing out texture, reducing scars, and giving a firmer, refreshed look. We use the E-Pen from Salient MD, which delivers great results with minimal downtime.

Why winter? It’s an ideal season to let your skin recover, so you’re ready to glow when spring arrives.

If you’re curious about how these treatments might help your skin, we’re always happy to chat. A complimentary consultation with Nurse Mattie or I is a great way to learn more and decide what’s right for you.

Here’s to keeping your skin healthy and happy this winter!
